Job Summary:

We are seeking a responsible, reliable, and compassionate Caretaker to ensure the safety, cleanliness, and smooth operation of [the premises/residence/institution]. The ideal candidate will be proactive in maintaining facilities and providing basic support to residents, staff, or property needs as applicable.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the assigned premises (rooms, hallways, bathrooms, garden, etc.)
• Monitor and report any maintenance or repair issues (plumbing, electrical, furniture, etc.)
• Ensure safety protocols are followed and report hazards or incidents immediately
• Provide support and assistance to residents or facility users as required (elderly, children, patients, etc.)
• Open and close facilities on time; secure premises after hours
• Maintain inventory of cleaning and maintenance supplies
• Assist with small errands or facility tasks as needed (e.g., moving furniture, basic repairs)
• Coordinate with vendors or service providers for maintenance work if needed
• Record daily activities, incident reports, or visitor logs (if applicable)

Qualifications & Skills:

• Prior experience in a caretaker, housekeeping, or facility support role preferred
• Basic knowledge of cleaning and maintenance tools and techniques
• Physically fit to perform manual tasks and stand for long periods
• Trustworthy, responsible, and attentive to detail
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
• Basic literacy (ability to read signs, fill logs, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in schools, hostels, elderly care, or health facilities
• First Aid knowledge or safety training
• Local language proficiency
