Job Summary

Sanaa Welfare Foundation is seeking a qualified and experienced Fashion Designer Trainer to deliver industry-oriented theoretical and practical training in accordance with the prescribed Sector Skill Council curriculum. The selected candidate will be responsible for developing candidates’ technical competencies in fashion design, garment construction, fabric selection, pattern making, and design development. The role also involves candidate counselling, training documentation, assessment preparation, performance monitoring, and placement readiness to support successful training outcomes.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

• Deliver structured theoretical and practical training in accordance with the prescribed Sector Skill Council curriculum and training standards.
• Train candidates in fashion illustration, design development, fabric selection, colour coordination, pattern making, and garment construction.
• Prepare lesson plans, practical assignments, demonstrations, and training materials to ensure effective learning.
• Counsel candidates regarding course objectives, training expectations, and career opportunities in the fashion and apparel industry.
• Monitor daily attendance, punctuality, participation, and overall candidate progress.
• Maintain and submit daily MIS reports, attendance records, and training documentation within the prescribed timelines.
• Conduct regular practice sessions, mock tests, and pre-assessments to evaluate candidate competencies and identify learning gaps.
• Prepare candidates for final theory and practical assessments in accordance with applicable assessment guidelines.
• Provide individual guidance and remedial training to improve candidate performance and assessment readiness.
• Motivate candidates to achieve good assessment results and pursue suitable employment opportunities.
• Work towards achieving a 95% assessment success target through effective training delivery and continuous performance monitoring.
• Ensure proper use of training equipment, sewing machines, design tools, and workshop resources.
• Maintain training quality, classroom discipline, workplace safety, and compliance with organizational and Sector Skill Council guidelines.
• Coordinate with center management and relevant stakeholders to ensure smooth implementation of the training program.

Educational Qualification and Experience

• Relevant qualification in Fashion Design, Apparel Technology, Garment Manufacturing, or a related discipline, as prescribed under the applicable trainer eligibility guidelines.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant industry or training experience.
• Mandatory TOT certification from the respective Sector Skill Council for the relevant job role.
• Strong practical knowledge of fashion design, garment construction, fabric selection, and pattern making.
• Knowledge of fashion design software and digital design tools will be an advantage.
