Job Role: Rural Mason

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and hardworking Rural Mason for part-time and freelance work. The candidate will be responsible for carrying out masonry activities related to rural construction, repair, and maintenance of buildings and other structures. This opportunity is suitable for construction professionals who prefer flexible working hours and project-based assignments.

Key Responsibilities

1. Perform masonry work for rural houses, buildings, and other construction projects.
2. Assist in brickwork, blockwork, stonework, and wall construction.
3. Prepare and apply cement mortar, concrete, and plastering materials.
4. Carry out plastering, flooring, and basic repair work.
5. Read and follow basic construction drawings, measurements, and instructions.
6. Ensure proper alignment, levelling, and finishing of masonry work.
7. Use masonry tools and equipment safely and effectively.
8. Support the construction and maintenance of rural infrastructure as per project requirements.
9. Follow construction safety guidelines and maintain a clean working area.
10. Coordinate with contractors, supervisors, and other workers to complete assignments on time.
11. Minimize material wastage and ensure the quality of completed work.
12. Follow the specifications and instructions provided by the project supervisor.

Required Skills

• Knowledge of bricklaying, masonry, plastering, and concrete work.
• Ability to measure, level, and align construction materials accurately.
• Knowledge of cement, sand, bricks, stones, and other building materials.
• Ability to use masonry tools and equipment.
• Understanding of basic construction methods and safety practices.
• Physical fitness and ability to perform construction-related tasks.
• Teamwork, time management, and attention to detail.
