About the Role

NIFA Infocomp Services Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a qualified and experienced TOT Certified Sampling Tailor Trainer for its DDU-GKY skill development project in Kangra, Himachal Pradesh.

The trainer will be responsible for delivering theory and practical training as per the approved Sampling Tailor AMH/Q0701 Version 4.0 curriculum and preparing candidates for assessment, certification and placement.

The Sampling Tailor role involves developing garment samples as per specifications, fabric cutting, garment construction, stitching, measurements, different garment styles and quality standards.

Trainer Eligibility

1. Trainer must be TOT Certified by the respective Sector Skill Council (AMHSSC) for the relevant job role, as applicable.
2. Trainer's education, qualification and relevant industry/training experience must comply with the applicable NSQF/QP and AMHSSC trainer requirements.
3. Relevant qualifications in tailoring, apparel, garment manufacturing, fashion technology or related fields will be preferred.
4. Practical experience in garment sampling, cutting, stitching, pattern/sample development and garment construction is preferred.
5. Candidates should have good communication, classroom-management and practical demonstration skills.

Important: The candidate entry qualification for the Sampling Tailor QP is different from the trainer eligibility. The official QP lists learner entry routes including 11th pass with relevant experience, 10th pass with relevant experience, or a relevant NSQF Level 3.5 qualification with relevant experience.

Candidate Qualification

·       Minimum Qualification: 12th Pass and/or Vocational Training Certificate, as per project requirement.

1. Candidates should be interested in tailoring, garment manufacturing and apparel-related occupations.
2. Candidates should be willing to attend offline practical training.

Key Responsibilities

1. Candidate Counselling

Counsel candidates regarding the Sampling Tailor course, training program, career opportunities and employment prospects in the apparel industry.

2. Training Delivery

Provide theoretical and practical training as per the approved curriculum and modules designed by the Sector Skill Council.

3. Practical Demonstration

Conduct hands-on demonstrations covering:

1. Garment sampling and sample development
2. Fabric selection, preparation and cutting
3. Garment measurements
4. Pattern and sample preparation
5. Sewing and stitching techniques
6. Garment construction
7. Neckline, sleeve and collar construction
8. Garment finishing and quality checking
9. Use of sewing machines, tools and equipment

These competencies are consistent with the official Sampling Tailor curriculum and QP.

4. Attendance Monitoring

Monitor daily candidate attendance and maintain accurate attendance and training records.

5. Daily MIS Reporting

Prepare and submit daily MIS reports covering attendance, training progress, practical sessions, candidate performance and other project requirements.

6. Pre-Assessment

Conduct pre-assessment, mock tests and practical evaluations to identify learning gaps and improve candidate readiness.

7. Assessment & Certification Preparation

Prepare candidates for the final assessment and certification through revision, practical exercises, mock assessments and continuous performance monitoring.

8. Placement Motivation

Motivate candidates to complete the training successfully and participate actively in placement opportunities after certification.

9. Result & Performance

Work towards achieving the project's target of 95% successful assessment results, subject to candidate performance and the assessment process.

10. Training Documentation

Maintain lesson plans, session records, practical training records, attendance sheets, assessment records and other documentation required by the project.

11. Batch Management

Coordinate with centre management and the DDU-GKY project team for smooth implementation of the training program.
