Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Project Manager to manage and oversee the implementation of DDU-GKY 2.0 skill development, training, employment, and placement activities.

The Project Manager will be responsible for overall project planning, centre operations, team management, training quality, candidate mobilization, assessment, certification, placement, compliance, MIS, stakeholder coordination, and achievement of project targets.

The ideal candidate should have relevant experience in DDU-GKY, skill development, vocational training, government-funded projects, livelihood programmes, or employment-linked training projects, along with strong leadership, project management, and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Plan, manage, and monitor the overall implementation of the DDU-GKY 2.0 project.
  2. Ensure achievement of targets related to mobilization, enrolment, training, assessment, certification, placement, and retention.
  3. Manage and coordinate project teams including trainers, mobilizers, MIS staff, counsellors, placement personnel, and centre staff.
  4. Monitor day-to-day operations of training centres and ensure smooth project execution.
  5. Ensure training is delivered as per the approved curriculum, schedule, quality standards, and project requirements.
  6. Monitor candidate attendance, training progress, assessments, certification, and placement activities.
  7. Coordinate with government departments, project authorities, partners, employers, and other stakeholders.
  8. Develop and review project plans, schedules, targets, and performance reports.
  9. Monitor MIS and ensure timely and accurate submission of project reports and documentation.
  10. Identify operational issues and implement corrective actions to maintain project quality and timelines.
  11. Lead placement and employer engagement activities to improve employment outcomes.
  12. Conduct regular review meetings with project teams and monitor action points.
  13. Ensure proper documentation, record keeping, audit readiness, and compliance with project requirements.
  14. Monitor centre infrastructure, training resources, staff performance, and candidate facilities.
  15. Prepare regular progress reports and present project performance to senior management.
  16. Ensure effective grievance handling, candidate counselling, and learner support.
  17. Maintain strong coordination between mobilization, training, assessment, certification, and placement teams.
  18. Ensure the project is implemented efficiently with a focus on quality, employment outcomes, and sustainable livelihoods.

Relevant Qualification & Education

Minimum Qualification:

  1. Graduate in any discipline from a recognized university.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Post-Graduation / MBA / PG Diploma in Project Management, Management, Rural Development, Social Work, Development Studies, Human Resources, or a related field will be preferred.
  2. Candidates with qualifications in Skill Development, Vocational Training, Rural Livelihoods, or Social Sector Management will be an advantage.

Relevant Experience

  1. Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in project management, skill development, vocational training, livelihood programmes, or government-funded projects.
  2. DDU-GKY / DDU-GKY 2.0 project experience is highly preferred.
  3. Experience in managing training centres, project teams, candidate mobilization, placement, MIS, and compliance will be an advantage.
  4. Strong experience in team leadership, target achievement, stakeholder coordination, and project monitoring.
