Job Description – Fashion Designer (TOT Certified Trainer)

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Fashion Designer – TOT Certified Trainer to deliver high-quality, industry-oriented training to candidates in the fashion and apparel sector. The trainer will be responsible for providing both theoretical and practical training in accordance with the prescribed NSQF/SSC curriculum and qualification pack requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct classroom and practical training sessions for Fashion Design candidates.
2. Deliver training on fashion designing, garment construction, pattern making, cutting, stitching, sewing and fabric selection.
3. Provide practical demonstrations on garment designing, measurements, draping, embroidery and finishing techniques.
4. Guide candidates in fashion illustration, styling, textile knowledge and apparel production.
5. Prepare lesson plans, training materials, assignments and practical activities.
6. Maintain daily attendance, training records, assessment-related documentation and MIS reports.
7. Counsel and motivate candidates for skill development, employment and career opportunities.
8. Ensure training delivery is aligned with SSC guidelines, NSQF standards and approved curriculum.
9. Prepare candidates for assessments and support them in achieving successful certification.
10. Maintain a professional, engaging and learner-focused training environment.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

1. Diploma/Degree in Fashion Designing, Apparel Design, Textile Design, Garment Technology, Fashion Technology or a related field.
2. Relevant industry and/or training experience in Fashion Designing and Apparel.
3. TOT (Training of Trainers) certification from the respective Sector Skill Council is mandatory.
4. Strong knowledge of garment construction, pattern making, cutting, stitching and fashion design techniques.
5. Good communication, presentation and classroom management skills.
