Job Description

BuddyMaa is inviting applications for a full-time Programme Manager – External Engagement to lead a flagship programme focused on engaging and supporting India’s rapidly growing startup ecosystem. This is an external-facing role involving close engagement with startup founders, investors, government stakeholders, industry associations, academia, and other ecosystem partners. The selected candidate will be responsible for leading programme activities related to technology policy, regulatory developments, startup engagement, stakeholder relations, and multistakeholder initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead and manage a policy-focused programme supporting India’s startup ecosystem.
2. Develop and maintain strong relationships with startup founders, venture capital firms, industry associations, government stakeholders, academia, and other ecosystem partners.
3. Support startups in understanding and navigating relevant business, regulatory, and technology policy challenges.
4. Monitor and analyse developments in technology policy, digital regulations, government policies, and the startup ecosystem.
5. Prepare policy briefs, presentations, newsletters, reports, submissions, and other communication materials.
6. Organise and facilitate multistakeholder workshops, roundtables, conferences, consultations, and panel discussions.

Experience

1. 3–5 years of relevant experience in programme management, project management, public policy, government affairs, consulting, stakeholder engagement, or a related field.
2. Experience working with startups, government departments, industry associations, technology companies, or ecosystem organisations is preferred.
3. Demonstrated experience independently managing projects and multistakeholder engagements.
4. Experience in startup ecosystem development, policy advocacy, coalition building, or community management will be an advantage.

5. Experience in coalition building, community management, or industry association engagement.
6. Ability to independently manage complex, cross-functional initiatives.
7. Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Education Level : Bachelor's Degree

Technical Education : Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Public Policy, Law

Certificate : N/A

Industrial Certificate : 3–5 years of programme or project management
