Job Summary
BuddyMaa is seeking a motivated, organized, and field-oriented Project Associate – Coastal Disaster Management to support the planning, implementation, coordination, monitoring, and reporting of projects focused on coastal disaster risk reduction, climate resilience, community preparedness, and environmental sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the planning and implementation of coastal disaster management and disaster risk reduction projects.
- Coordinate project activities with field teams, government agencies, NGOs, community organizations, and other stakeholders.
- Assist in conducting coastal risk, hazard, vulnerability, and capacity assessments.
- Support community-based disaster preparedness and resilience-building activities.
- Assist in awareness campaigns, training programs, workshops, and community consultations.
- Collect, organize, analyze, and maintain project and field-level data.
- Support GIS-based mapping, spatial analysis, and preparation of project maps where required.
- Assist in developing disaster preparedness, response, and contingency plans.
- Support early warning, emergency preparedness, and climate resilience initiatives.
- Monitor project activities against timelines, targets, indicators, and deliverables.
- Prepare progress reports, field reports, presentations, case studies, and project documentation.
- Assist in Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E), impact assessment, and outcome tracking.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Disaster Management, Environmental Science, Geography, Climate Change, Development Studies, Natural Resource Management, Social Sciences, Coastal/Marine Studies, or a related field.
- A Master’s degree in a relevant discipline will be an advantage.
- Relevant experience in disaster management, climate resilience, environmental projects, community development, or coastal programs is preferred.
- Freshers with relevant academic exposure, internships, or field experience may also be considered.
