About the Role
The Trainer – Solar PV Installer (Suryamitra) will be responsible for delivering skill-based training under UPSDM as per NSQF guidelines. The trainer will provide both theoretical and practical training on solar photovoltaic systems, including installation, commissioning, operation, and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Candidate Counselling
- Counsel candidates about the training program and solar industry opportunities
- Guide candidates on career growth in renewable energy sector
- Deliver training as per SGJ/Q0101 curriculum
- Conduct classroom sessions, practical lab training, and field demonstrations
- Train candidates in:
- Maintain daily attendance records
- Ensure discipline and regular participation
- Prepare daily/weekly MIS reports
- Maintain training documentation as per UPSDM guidelines
- Conduct mock tests and internal assessments
- Identify learning gaps and provide additional support
- Prepare candidates for third-party assessment by SSC
- Ensure high pass percentage in certification
- Guide candidates for job interviews and placements
- Support employment linkage in solar/renewable companies
- Ensure use of PPE during practical training
- Follow safety standards at training site
- Maintain quality training standards
- Achieve high assessment success rate (target up to 90–95%)
- ITI / Diploma / Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Renewable Energy, or related field
- Mandatory: TOT Certified in Solar PV Installer (Suryamitra) from SCGJ
- Experience in solar installation/training preferred
- Experience in skill development projects (UPSDM/NSDC) is an advantage
