About the Job Role
We are looking for a qualified and experienced Fashion Designer Trainer for the Qualification Pack AMH/Q1201 (NSQF Level 5) under the Apparel Made-Ups & Home Furnishing Sector Skill Council. The trainer will be responsible for delivering skill-based training aligned with SSC curriculum, ensuring quality training, assessment readiness, and placement support. Fashion Designer under this QP involves developing design concepts, creating collections, and working with prototypes and fashion trends for commercial production.
Mandatory Requirement
- TOT Certified Trainer from respective Sector Skill Council (AMHSSC)
- Certification must be valid and aligned with AMH/Q1201
- Educational Qualification (As per NSQF Guidelines)
- Diploma / Graduation / Post-Graduation in Fashion Designing or relevant field
Experience (As per NSQF & SSC Norms)
- Diploma holders: Minimum 4 years of relevant experience
- Graduate: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
- Post Graduate Diploma: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
- Post Graduate Degree: Minimum 1 year of relevant experience
- Experience must be in Fashion Designing (not textile-only roles)
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct candidate counselling and mobilization support
- Deliver training as per SSC-approved model curriculum (AMH/Q1201)
- Ensure batch discipline and attendance monitoring
- Maintain and submit daily MIS reports
- Conduct pre-assessment and internal evaluations
- Prepare candidates for final assessment & certification
- Motivate candidates for placements and performance improvement
- Ensure minimum 95% result achievement (target-based performance)
Key Skills Required
- Strong fashion illustration & sketching skills
- Knowledge of garment construction, fabrics, and pattern making
- Familiarity with CAD tools (CorelDRAW, Illustrator, Photoshop)
- Understanding of fashion trends and market research
- Good communication and classroom management skills
- Assessment & documentation handling
